What did you do in the garden today?

I prepared 6 homes for leafcutter summer pollinator bees. I'm giving 3 to my son for his garden. The bee balm is getting ready to bloom

Motion activated sprinkler works awesome if you can't catch them in the act with a super soaker a few times. Also...put chickenwire DOWN on the ground flat where they are "going". Cats HATE walking on the wire. The pads of their feet are very sensitive.

Popsicle sticks will annoy them too (who wants to squat onto a stick!? Lol
I use the Scarecrow sprinkler for one garden it works great! But was a gift! I know they're sorta expensive

But water and wire along the ground will def. help.

Well the chicken wire idea seems to have worked. I put it down in the "problem " areas and nothing for the last 3 days. Thanks Mothercluckin

Next try would have been dozens of mouse traps

Shop and market lettuce here has been mainly the cos type which can be good or bad but, with no other varieties available, became boring. During the last year or two, hydroponic farms have started up growing European varieties and the local market has cottoned on to them too. My daughter sent us some seeds from England and they have grown well under netting for shade. Fresh from the garden brings life back into salads! The second crop is growing already. We can grow all the year round.

The farm sells four varieties for THB100 (about $3.50 I think) per kilo (2.2 pounds).
