What did you do in the garden today?

"Good morning! Are you making breakfast smoothies?"
".... sure. They've got protein in them, too!"
I'm laughing at the endless possibilities for fun with Bug Smoothies.
The did that on the Big Bang Theory. Sheldon was studying the % of caterpillar that could go into a smoothy before his room mate would be able to taste it, unbeknownst to him.

After the last big freeze and it finally started to warm up, I cleaned up my potting table, figured out which plants were salvageable, cleaned up & repotted plants, accidently flipped a pot upside down dumping the plant, played with ducks and thought about cleaning it all up.
Still need to clean up, but its cold and raining.

I've got it too, its a warm 40 out there, I took a walk by the garden & totally got me some spring fever! It's just a tease tho, we'll be in a deep freeze again before spring happens, no doubt.

I pruned a bunch of dill off my aeorgarden. The mint didn't come up so I planted more dill. The basil will go in pots this weekend for my sister & I will plant more thyme. Then it will all go outside for spring & I'll start new to have in the house for next winter. I like this thing, good present from the MIL.View attachment 2987555
I haven’t had great luck with dill in mine but yours looks good. I love growing in it, no going outside in the heat lol.

Went to pick up lumber for the hoop house/green house. UM no.
Treated lumber is $9 instead of 6 for a 2.x 4x 8 foot piece. And EVERY piece in the two pallets I looked at was either cracked, warped, twisted, half missing, or the barked edges. WHO let these even OUT of the woodlot?!?!

I'll wait.

Good afternoon all. I checked on my orders for the shipping and still nothing. The apple tree should ship soon but the lilac might not ship until March? Really? It could be over 90 degrees outside by then! :rantSo I’m planting the rest of the stuff this weekend. Onions, borage, comfrey and various flowers. Also the dill.

Wait a minute…weren’t you NOT going to spend more $$$?

Up potted my cuke and tomato starts today... that's it. Still no rain in sight.

If you can find a use for cracked and warped wood, ask for a discount. Last time I asked it became 90% off

I had that same experience trying to buy lumber last fall. Ridiculous.... They claimed it was all they could get due to supply chain issues. However there are no less than 4 saw mills within an hour of here and all of them have prime lumber stacked to the roof. There is something very fishy and very wrong going on with these stories.
