What did you do in the garden today?

I connected all with zip ties to the 4 400lb each raised bed gardens that i built inside also police zip toed top to the base also if it goes its gonna shred apart.

For Garden or Birds ? Maybe add a some corugated steel roof? That is what I have on my tractor.

Good afternoon all. I got some solar lights in multiple colors so I put those out. My allergies are killing me and it’s windy so that’s the extent of my gardening for today. I did come REALLY REALLY CLOSE to ordering some chicks last night, but I came to my senses and didn’t in the end. Hubs keeps telling me he misses them, but he’s full of beans. He went out there maybe once every few months or when I needed something done, that’s it. The most he sees of the yard is from the patio where he bbq’s. I am not taking on any more responsibility, in fact I’m kinda ready to get rid of the buns. Might have to think about that.

Winds picked up to 40mph this afternoon.
We're between two winter storms and it will miss us altogether.
I'm amazed the sheets stayed on the line!

I would most-certainly make steel roof on it.
It help it heat also but keep it from blowing away too..

Our snow is finally all gone and what are we supposed to get tomorrow?? Yep, more sleet, ice and snow.
Yesterday our high was 67, today was 65. I got out and did more work on the chicken run expansion. It’s still not finished but they were completely enjoying being able to explore and scratch around new areas!
I forgot to add that some of my sprouts are up as well!! Just a few but about 4 or 5 different types of seeds.

I no longer have poultry, but I did keep a coop by the house. I was going to keep it riiiight outside the door on the far side of the sun porch (two outside doors), but the outlet is inside. Instead, it’s in an L by the cellar where it has protection on two sides, an outlet right there, and I can get to it by going down, and through the cellar from the house.

If you have the coop, it's fine too get the birds again. Spring chick days are right around the corner...

Here comes the winter storm... supposed to get 3-7 inches of snow I believe started at 3am and going into the early afternoon if not later. Right now it's raining, which is supposed to turn to sleet soon before the snow comes. Just downright NASTY out there.

Inside, some more seeds sprouted. Cabbage and leakd are starting to pop up in addition to the tomatoes, eggplant and chives. Some others might be popping up too. I don't recall all of them at the moment. It's exciting to see new greenery though as winter continues its onslaught.
