What did you do in the garden today?

Things are just starting to get going on coming back to life here. Lately I've trimmed back my two rose bushes and did some minor pruning on my baby apple and peach trees. I've got a sea of iris and daylily leaves poking up in the flower beds in the front yard already, have a feeling I'll be needing to thin them out by the end of the year. And I still have one special daylily I need to find a place to plant!

The perennial herbs haven't woken up yet, except the rosemary that never slept, and also the catnip because nothing's going to kill that stuff. The hostas too, but they don't get going until late in the spring.

I let the chickens out to free range today since it was 75 degrees and beautiful. Went outside around 4:30 pm to get them back inside to find feathers strewn all over the pasture. Looks like a predator got one of my Buff Orpingtons. 😭😡😭
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw a ridiculous number of redtails here today. :(

Good morning gardeners. I gotta tell ya, there is NOTHING Express about Federal Express. It has taken them two weeks to deliver the lilac from Gurneys. SMH. No places to go or things to do after work today so I’ll be back to shredding yard waste this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!
Two weeks. I dream of FedEx getting things to me in only two weeks. I ordered a disc bedder attachment for my SC tractor on Jan. 27 from a vendor located only a 7.5 hour drive from my house. FedEx Ground picked it up on Jan. 29, and I didn't receive it until yesterday...Mar. 1...and even then I had to drive a 60 mile round-trip to their Ft. Worth hub and pick it up. And that was after they lost the first one, then destroyed the packaging this one was in and just wrapped it and all its parts (some assembly required) in heavy duty plastic wrap...and then losing track of it for two weeks...then trying to deliver it to the wrong FedEx pickup location near me...and...

I've already let the vendor know that I will not be buying any more products from them so long as they continue shipping via FedEx Ground.

My sister and I both burst into tears when she was first allowed to walk around in the hospital after her operation - she was zipping around with her walker and making clever jokes, instead of shuffling and mumbling.
Mom's 85 - she still needs a walker, but zips around with it instead of shuffling like before her operation.
I teared up reading this. DP and I will keep the hydrocephaly possibility in mind as we get older.
Re-enforced Clear 6mm Plastic.
That is a really nice, sturdy-looking green house. The basic layout would work really well for a coop.
Looks like a predator got one of my Buff Orpingtons. 😭😡😭
Our BO is one of my favorites, calm, fluffy, and a great layer. So sorry for your loss. :hugs
