I went to a birds-of-prey information show once at a museum. They brought a red-tail out and introduced it and then the lady smiles and says "Does anybody know another name for the red-tailed hawk?" and my butt has to pipe up loud enough for half the auditorium "Chicken hawk!" It was the right answer of course, but then the lady launches into how it's a misnomer as they don't actually prey on chickens. Cue me muttering "tell that to Papa after they flew off with some of his in broad daylight" Made DH almost burst out laughing, glad he got it reined in because his laugh is LOUD. I get trying to un-demonize the poor birds, but don't go making stuff up.

Just teach people how to keep the birds out so it isn't an issue.
I watered today.

Other than that I added more pine shavings to the tub of chicks in my living room and drilled a ton of ventilation holes in their tub. Needs a whole lot more still, but the the "baby timer" went off and DD would not stay outside another minute. Changed their food and water too.
DH, when he's home on time anyway, has been puttering on the chicken coop/run in the evenings. Got the corner uprights done, the top edge lumber in place, and the shipping crates that will become the coop all where they're going to live.
