I really want honeybees but I'm waiting until I get my fruit trees and flower beds firmly established. I can live vicariously through the rest of you until then....
I got my onion bunches planted today. Really glad I only bought 2 bunches (1 red, 1 yellow) I filled 7 tire planters, a 2 ft x 2 ft raised bed, and a 12 inch pot with them. I didn't plant ENOUGH onions and potatoes last year so I'm trying to not make that mistake again... The feed store sold out of Yukon seed potatoes so I either need to find them at another store, order online (trying to avoid this option), or plant a different type. I wanted to do 4 tires of Yukon and 4-5 tires of Russet.
Will need to start rebuilding the hoop house again....maybe next weekend. Spring fever is making me anxious to get started in the garden.... But by June I'll be wondering what was I thinking....
Oh yeah, and I THINK my Granny Smith apple is coming back to life. I'll know for sure within the next week. I think I see some tiny buds but it could just be wishful thinking. Supposed to be warm this week with a bit of rain. Prime weather to encourage budding.
