I did spend part of the afternoon cleaning the duck pens and organizing.

And, what pray tell was dear wife sweating and toiling over? I do hope she served you a nice cold iced tea with lots of lemon, and a sprig of fresh mint, while you were building that shelter!

Finished filling some of my potato towers.

Hoed my spinach and radishes which are finally up and checked on the row of garlic I planted yesterday.

No sweating or toiling here. Rain clouds and wind. I did move my fake owl to keep all the squirrels out of my beds.

I found this, this morning on our weather. I was surprised to find that in 1816 we had no summer.
There was no sun and the crops failed and snow in June! WOW!

Supposed to warm up this week and maybe this will help all the things in the garden to germinate and sprout. My trays are sitting out in that sun right now, trying to capture some of that good warmth and sunlight. My celery sprouted, which tickles me....last year I direct sowed it in the garden and never saw a thing. My peppers have germinated poorly and I'm still hoping some will do so, but it's been a long time since they were planted....past 2 wks and they've had heating pads on under the tray all that time. Just have half dozen that have sprouted.

The tomatoes have germinated well, but they tend to always do well.
