What did you do in the garden today?

Yall the early squash in container that's been outside for couple weeks atleast now has been doing so well.
Neighbor told me if I pinched off the seedling leaves they would grow stronger and better...I did and over half of them in a matter of couple of hours are all withered up and look like they are dieing!
Should I not have done that?

I’m just not a huge celery fan. I’ll eat it in soup or chili (cooked), but if it’s raw I pick it out (even when diced teeny tiny in tuna salad!)

Still catching up, but Saturday I planted 3 tomatoes and 5 eggplant in my parents' garden and repaired a few leaks in the irrigation system. DF can't get out there anymore with his ALS but I hope he can have some good fresh tomatoes this summer.

Back home it looks like the garden survived the open house.. nothing is trampled and the quail look happy. Something always seems to happen to the quail when I go on vacation but not this time!

I'm SO ANNOYED right now....

WHY do I ever put any faith in anything off of Amazon? I bought a 25 ft x 20 ft insect netting for the hoop house. It is such cheap JUNK. It snags super easy and you can literally poke through it with your finger without even trying. I wouldn't even give it one star.... Now I'm going to have to track down another net and try to get it delivered ASAP.

I'll trade you, I just walked into the garage, the freezer is at 36 degrees and the compressor on it is going click clack from the overload Just what I don't need, have to get a new freezer...

I got my netting at gardeners supply. I haven't used it yet but it was very expensive.

My mother used to make a potato fudge out of leftover potatoes & it was good! It was half vanilla/half chocolate! My sister & I tried to make it as adults & it was disgusting. So I'm not sure if we just had no idea what we were doing or if it was just really bad when we were little. LOL
