Okay, so we have 12 fertile (easter egger) eggs going in the incubator tomorrow, 3 leghorn chicks chilling in my bathtub, AND we just picked up 2 majestic midnight marans, and 1 easter egger (it had such cute tiny mutton chops!) chicks. I might have to extend the run some more. And DP said that if things get more iffy regarding supply chains, we can probably convince the close neighbors that it's in their interest to look the other way if we kept a couple roosters. We're a tiny town with no tax base so the least of their concern would be our roosters.

I would LOVE to do that....but given how much stuff like that is selling for, I can't imagine it would be cheaper for me than just buying a bit of lumber and insulation.

I am thinking about sandwich panels. they are cheaper than lumber here.

Transplanted a bunch of Parsley volunteers into pots... I know they aren't supposed to be very transplantable but I came out with about 6 of 10 surviving the last transplant session. You never know until you try.

I buy parsley in a pot then divide them, usually 10-15 and transplant them without any issue. I get a pot for 2 eur so save time and money.

Anyone do the high efficiency planting in your gardens? I think that's what it's called where you plant everything much closer together than what packing tells ya too?

So today and through weekend, we are going to have NICE weather!!! In fact, HOT on Saturday- over 80F!! So, we’ve been suffering through miserable late winter and miserable spring weather (cold, rainy, snowy, very windy and often) to jump right to summer like weather!! But temps drop again to cool spring like temps all next week. I’m going to enjoy it as much as I can today, through the weekend!

This is us too!!! 70s only for for us but back to 40s by Monday.

Going to plant a rhubarb crown, a blackberry and blueberry today!!!! It is the start if my berry phased this year. I have almost 100 plants coming
