This is an all metal homemade raised bed, no wood. With shade cloth in the summer I can grow lettuce even when it's warm.

This is the main veggie garden with 13 3x3 plots. I did a variant of square foot gardening (mostly for crop rotation purposes) since so much of the garden is in raised beds or terraces.

Solyent Green, HEK 293 and SENOMYX.. if you have no idea what these 3 things have in common, you have not been paying attention..

had to google it. I think I am going to eat only what I produce. I am considering to buy wheat directly from the field, both for flour and poultry.

I'm almost weened off coffee products. Give me another two weeks. Phew.

I did it once upon a time. then decided to have 1 coffee in the morning. now have 2 but reduced amount of coffee I put. I also drink instant coffee that says 100% coffee but does not taste like one. I feel some barley in it. I plan to try to drink tea instead.

Rain for the next 3 days so not sure I will get much done in the garden. Temps are looking better though-highs in the 50s and lows in the 40s, going to start hardening off some more plants this week and hopefully get some planted next weekend.

What is all this nonsense talk of cuttin back on coffee consumption?... I drink a pot of coffee every mornin.. and sometimes 2-3 K-Cups to boot.. always have always will.. straight black coffee.. nothing added.. carry on y’all

With all this talk about gross things in our food, how about castoreum? From the castor glands of beavers, it is used in our food as a flavor enhancer.
