What did you do in the garden today?

Dinner & dessert from the garden.

Definitely pulling the strawberries after they finish producing, it kills me to bend over & pick them - I'm over it.

@Coldd, welcome to the garden thread! This is a really nice, chatty, helpful bunch of people, so grab a cup of coffee, iced tea, whatever, and sit down. Any questions, just ask; probably someone here has had the same thing happen.

Where are you located? You can put your location in your profile, and then it's always there. Just the state is fine.

Cool to chilly this week. Rain forecast for this afternoon and Wednesday. Wednesday is my chiropractor appointment/get errands done in town day, so that timing is good for me.

Does anyone here have Montmorency cherry trees? We have two young ones. We planted one 3 years ago, the other 2 years ago. This is the first year they've had more than a couple blossoms. But we won't get any fruit. It looks like none were pollinated, and the flowers just faded and dropped off. There is a wild apple tree 100 feet away that has plenty of fruit developing, so I know it's not for lack of bees. Other apple trees in the area have fruit developing too. Are the trees just too young to bear yet? They sure look healthy, at least.
Sour cherries in general are frustrating while young . I am struggling with some myself . They eventually get better fruit set and hold the fruit .

I swatted them off my pumpkin and into a puddle and drowned them. I got to it early though they had just popped up that morning.
Hum...I thought I had em bad. But when out there earlier I didn't see any, nor any eggs on underside of leaves.
Maybe I just had a couple?

Good afternoon gardeners. Finished off the Spring cleaning yesterday and smoked a 16 pound turkey on the grill. It came out tasty and juicy, not dry at all. Taking it a bit easier today. Took my little buddy Max for his mani pedi, then covered potato stalks with hay. Then I gave all the gardens a good drink of water. Tomorrow morning I need to pick lettuce and do a little more weeding, not to mention tomorrow is also laundry day. But at least the garden work is slowing down a bit for now. Knock on wood, no bug issues right now. Have a great day all.

That would be awesome! (Not that you have them but that there are just a couple.)
