Dug more into the Kansas cattle die off. Mostly feedlots. And the blame is being put on the swing from normal temps to abnormally high temps too quickly. BS
This happens every years about now, maybe a week or two off, but that's not drastic. Individual ranches are required to report deaths, but company lot deaths have to be reported. These are high stress areas to start with. Feed lot cattle MUST be checked multiple times a day for water, heat, feed, and trouble. THey are huge open pens with hundreds of animals in each. Things can go wrong quickly.
I don't know the Kansas laws, but stock welfare is HUGE in Nebraska.
