What did you do in the garden today?

Hosed off the alpacas.
Gave frozen, freezer burned raspberries to the chickens.
Mopped the kitchen, hall, and dining room.
Managed to leave the ice water I made for myself on the kitchen counter. Sigh.
:::waiting for floor to dry as crystal condensation beads on my glass, taunting me from 15 feet away.:::
I've done that. Come in for a glass of ice water, puppy needs to go out, get distracted playing with her, come in, ice water is now warm!

I watered and the tree crew came by to cut down the misplaced maple (way too close to the house) and trimmed up the poplar. Also put up some extra fencing and deer netting on the long bed thats been getting scalped by the deer.
And we got a Hagrid. I wanna call him Alf though 🤣

Good day yesterday. Bad day today. Raccoons are the enemy. Going to be fixing fence all day and collecting chick parts.
I am so sorry, that must have been awful. We lost our old min-pin to two racoons that were under our back porch. Racoons are not cute critters, they are nasty predators that should stay out in the woods.
If you right click on an image you can use Google Lens to find out what it is. Sometimes the answer is something "useful" like "looks like a bird" but in the case of your picture it came up with lots of pictures of various forms of Escallonia.
Is Google Lens an addon?
Oh idk if I missed yall talking bout it but did yall hear bout all the thousands of cattle dieing out west?
That's terrible, we hadn't heard about it. What a nightmare.

Planted the last of the seedling tomatoes, cleared nearly the last of the compost out of the finished side of the bins, up potted more of the peppers, staked and strung the biggest tomato bed, tossed the tired tomato seedlings (so hard to do), and dumped a bunch of weed-choked pots in the chicken run.

Rant incoming:
This morning as we were just heading off on Penny's walk, the annoying constantly barking dogs that belong to our neighbor were barking but this time from our backyard. They have now added digging under our fence to their charms. We talked to the husband (the wife is nuts) and he apologized and said he'd fix the fence issue and promised that the barking would get better. They have been promising to fix the barking issue for 3 years with no improvement. I had done a temporary fix for the fence when we got home from our walk. The real problem is these folks have not the tiniest idea how to train a dog. When one of their dogs get out of the yard and then come back, they yell at the returning dog, shouting "BAD DOG" when the dog comes home. WTH??? That only teaches the dog to not come back. They think that all dogs are Lassie and know psychically what the human wants them to do and if they don't, then they just need to yell more. There are currently 4 dogs on their property and not one of them is a good neighbor. I pity the poor dogs, they aren't housebroken, they never hear a "good dog" only "bad dog", they NEVER go for a walk, they have a tiny yard and one is an Australian shepherd. Why do such people even have dogs? And they they say on Facebook how much they love their dogs? This isn't love! I just don't understand.

They do now. There is actually a rebate for installing rain barrels, but your whole house had to have gutters and mine was only half done so I used trash cans instead of the $$ barrels with a spigot.
Cool. I’m going to use trash cans, can’t see spending all that money on a special barrel for water that comes off my roof lol.
