What did you do in the garden today?

She certainly is a silly puppy!

I bought one of those citronella coiled wristband things for $0.55 at Menards a few weeks ago because of you suggesting this last year. It is definitely helpful!
Ya those! I got a whole card full, marketed at hobby lobby as hair bands for $2
I even put one on they hay shed door. I MUST make sure that gets closed at night, so it needed a band too. Green for hay. Blue for water. Yellow for the back door on the henhouse, brown for the weird door on the barn. LOL.

@BarnyardChaos When I forgot to turn the hosepipe off one night, I came up with a solution. (THe spigot is not on the path between the house and garden.) I got one of those spiral, plastic keyrings and hung it on the spigot. WHen the water is on, the band in on my wrist. When I turn it off, I place it back on the spigot. If I make it in the house still wearing it, I know I have to turn around.
I LOVE this! Totally going to do it. We have another spigot at the cattle watering trough, and it sometimes gets forgotten. I'll need two of those wristbands. Takes so long to fill their tank, we wander off to do other chores then forget to go back to it. Hubby and I both know what "Are you watering the pasture today?" means.:oops:

Today was all about painting a little chicken coop. My garden only got some water and a quick walk through.

The sunset was a pleasure!

We got a LOT of rain Sunday !! Today I checked the garden. Tied up some tomato branches, cut other ones off because they were shading other plants. Harvested some green beans, 2 cucumbers, a couple of parsnips, and a small handful of cherry tomatoes. My potato plants are finally starting to die off a bit so I will dig those up in the next week or so.
Cleaned out the big coop. I have 6 feed bags full of shavings plus 2 other bags. I’m going to take them all out to the farm garden. The soil there needs a lot of work!
