Pearl & Clementine! What's hiding in the okra?!
Nope I see nothing. Don't see how you can. I see nothing but okra. Ahem..Pearl & Clementine!
For fall harvest I’ve planted beets and carrots. I will plant more soybeans, as the ones already planted should be ready soon. I’ll plant more beets and some white/salad turnips. Then, in the onion bed, Which will be available soon , I’ll plant a few other things…not completely decided yet but mustard will likely be one item.So just realized the tomato seeds I sowed the other day prob won't ever be able to do anything this year...prob bout 5 weeks too late! But they are in ground nonetheless.
I must have more big maters!!! I hate I scared myself off planting more beefsteak after my jungle experience last year. But hey I know what I want next year right!?
I do have 3 good sized suckers in water but idk if they will ever root cuz the sun keeps getting on em. I'll give em few more days in hopes they do though!
Are any of yall planting anything in the next few days for a fall harvest?
If so what?
And are you starting seeds indoors then hardening off and transplanting later?
I have been craving a lot of onions, pickles and olives after covid. Especially pickles and pimiento stuffed green olives.Feel good just long enough to do something and then that leaves me drained and breathless. UGH.
Watered the garden and was OK until I bent to pick a low tomato. That'll teach me. Ears hurt and got spacey.
took a LONG break in the house
load of laundry

made bed

fresh bedding in the coop
Really long break
New symptom today - things went from tasting metallic for the past couple of days to barely tasting of anything, sigh
I am not a patient person and I KNOW this is going to take time to work its way out. Glory. This is as bad as the early 2020 version I had.
6 slicers from the garden
managed the only storm in the 4 county area last night for a total of .21 inches
Hope to get an inch tonight
What do you do with the soybeans? For fall harvest I’ve planted beets and carrots. I will plant more soybeans, as the ones already planted should be ready soon. When I was pregnant with my kids, I craved pimento stuffed olives to the point I was worried it was a compulsion....I have been craving a lot of onions, pickles and olives after covid. Especially pickles and pimiento stuffed green olives.
Edamame. Boil the pods in salted water for about 8-10 min. Pop beans into mouth (not the pod) and enjoy. What do you do with the soybeans?
Turnips, rutabaga, kohlrabi, collards, kale, arugula, quick cabbage, carrots, peas?I need to do some fall planting soon, I just don't know what. I am not a super fan of beets and such but I feel like with the projected "what is coming" I need some extra just in case.
