What did you do in the garden today?

I drug out the non-producing zucchini finally...still had 2 male flowers in bloom even though I'd already started pulling it days ago then got sidetracked as usual.
My entire day has been one sidetrack after another....hate those kinda days. Dang brain!
Got pumpkins way too close together to ever do a dadgum thing...so praying once sun goes down I can move several in hopes they'll atleast put out a few for the grandkids...but I got em in the ground so late who knows!
Need to plant fall crop seeds.
Finally dumped the last thing of potatoes...had one the size of a eraser on a pencil...then 1 got stuck from the shovel of course it was a tennis ball size...then 1 more that size that was growing and eye already!? Found several hollowed out peels again...idk what caused that in every single container I tried to grow potatoes in!
Got handful of okra...might be enough for DH a mess. Still getting cucumbers...was gonna rip those out but hated to waste the few that could use a couple more days growing!

I need to reseed my lettuce, this package is a dud. I'd guess only 1/8 of what was planted germinated. :barnie

Squash is going mad. I'm having a hard time keeping up. I'm zoodling most of what comes up, we love zucchini (squash) noodles as we don't eat pasta. I'll have enough to get us till spring I think. Peppers are kicking in good now too - freezing them to can hot sauce in the fall (that we call Sue-racha, lol). Beans look just awful but are still producing, no idea how but they are!

Having BLTs for dinner. :drool I've started making my own mayo now - that stuff is good!

This year has been so frustrating! I'm not getting fruit on anything. Even my reliable peppers have let me down. Not a blossom in sight.

The peppers and tomatoes I started inside and recently took out have blossoms...but everything that spent the summer outside is blossom free. Look healthy...just no flowers or fruit. I've never had this happen before and not sure what to make of it.
Maybe I need to clean my water tanks out? Could something have gotten on our roofs and into our water tanks from there?
Anyone know what could cause this?

Too much nitrogen fertilizer?

Good afternoon gardeners. I’m right there with you on picking tomatoes that are just blushing @WthrLady. I don’t have insect pests, I’m sure it’s the little chipmunks taste testing. But my San Marzano tomatoes are doing very well. My Better Boy tomatoes are a bit disappointing. They pretty much stopped producing after the second heatwave. I may get only 2 dozen of them altogether. The cherry tomatoes are nearly done. Today was spent prepping another pound of kale for the freezer. Then slicing up all the peppers before freezing them. I still have some eggplant I need to process then freeze. Over the last day and a half we accumulated 3/4 inch of rain. Hoping for more on Friday. I’m still plugging away at the garage so I can have my stove pellets delivered. I’m breaking down the old cardboard boxes that I’m saving for the garden. Cardboard and dry leaves worked better on slowing down the weeds in the garden walkways this year than anything else I’ve tried. I should be deep into the peach harvest in a few days. I’m not expecting a bumper crop like I had last year but I’m hoping for a modest haul. Fingers crossed.
