What did you do in the garden today?

Watched one of my grandsons yesterday and today. That’s a different type of gardening. 😁

Just got back from a month long vacation. Got to pick green beans, swiss chard and some perrila for our dinner yesterday. Looks like I might have lost my Texas mulberry and my plumeria seedlings...they look pretty sad. Hopefully I can pull them back to ok though. But the rest of the garden looks ok. The neighbor that was taking care of everything for me enjoyed the fresh food while we were gone and wants a garden now. ❤️
It's so good to be home! The spinach and radishes I planted right before I left didn't make it. We were pretty hot still, so not surprised but had to try 🤦‍♀️ 🤷‍♀️ ...so guess I'll plant them again. They should grow well now. My cabbage, kale, collards, carrots, beets and Swiss Chard will be pickable soon. 🤤

Good morning gardeners. Went out to water, still a few things to finish but I need light first. No rain for us for about a week to ten days but our last storm dropped an inch according to my rain gauge. Everything is looking happy now that daytime temps are roughly 80. The fruit trees are getting and keeping leaves, the Arabian lilac is nearly as tall as the wall and the limbs on the lemon tree are touching ground from the weight of the fruit. Both Vitex trees are about three feet tall already! I imagine they’ll be providing some decent shade by the end of next year. Hubs works Sunday so no gardening until then. Have a great day all!

Hilde beans are blooming, so I hope next week I will have some ready beans too.
The Swiss chard was infested with enemies, as well as the cauliflower, we ordered some bugs last week, they came Thursday, our new army was sent to kill all of the enemies, I hope they’re doing well. Yesterday I didn’t see a lot of the white enemies, so I bet my bugs army is doing its job.

I hope your army crushes the enemies!
