I'll be interested to hear about the Orange Jazz and Atomic Grape!

I bit the bullet and bought a drip hydroponic system. It was already almost 30% off and I got a $30 coupon too. It’s easier than getting hubs to build it or let me use his tools to do it myself. He’s going to have to build me another stand for the last grow light, but I have four buckets and all the stuff to get set up. I also have my Aerogardens for lettuce and herbs and a grow light that I may put some strawberries under in a wicking system. We’ll see.

Not the best pics because this one is still in the garage and sideways. The other bed addition/terrace is out in the garden already but it's too dark and cold out there for me to want to go get a picture. Imagine this laid down with the right side as the bottom. It will connect to the top of an existing raised bed, creating 4 terraces.

It will be something like this pic from the internet, but 8ft long and 4ft wide with 4 levels.

So I hooked my tilapia heater up to a bank of solar panels, thinking they could heat the water when the batteries are full and nowhere else to put the juice. Well it's nice and warm in there now, they should be happy. Hopefully we don't get too many horribly cold days but now that I know my solar heating experiment is going to work well, I can go ahead and get the other one set up and run them in tandem to kick in as needed for bad weather and just dump back to the grid when I don't need the power. good to have multiple sources of power, one of them essentially free for keeping the fish warm. Now I only need to get enough of them to start producing food for me.
