What did you do in the garden today?

After I use up my hamburger patties, I will move on to a box of frozen sausage and biscuits......After I get tired of eggs over easy, I switch to omelet's. I like to use egg plant and onion with my omelets After I get tired of omelets, I switch to swirl omelets and place them on top of my home made tomato sauce. I mix things up...........I also have a lot of bananas in my yard, I like to eat them with milk and cereal when ever i have some ripe ones.
I make eggs quite a bit, I like to sous vide them with various veggies as egg cups. No cereal or biscuits for me, but I add half a frozen banana to a protein shake. They’re gross otherwise.

Once in a while I make a Japanese style chicken, shrimp and egg custard dish. The raw egg is mixed with bonito flavored soup stock and steamed in a small bowl with a piece of shitake mushroom, chicken and shrimp. The texture is like soft tofu and packed full of flavor.

So far we've actually been ok, but our area is growing RAPIDLY. Like, they can't even get the roadwork done fast enough to manage the new traffic. I've lived in this area for over 25 years now and in this house for about 11 of those years. It has always been a really safe area but as they continue to build around us, the crime is increasing along with it. Because of where our property sits, we also get a lot of curious people that walk along the back and side, so my neighbor and I are trying to put a stop to it because when someone actually BLEW UP a shed down the road, they used that open space between our homes to high tail it. She's eventually going to extend her fence out like mine as well. We both have security cameras too, but I'm going to get more...I just want my boring country life back, lol.
It's all happened because they're building a big trucking company smack dab in the middle of our town...
If I could afford to move right now, I would.
That's frustrating!
nope........ :he
Umm... check the trash? I would probably forget to take them out of the plastic bag and throw them away.

That sounds fantastic!

So I had an accident yesterday and I'm kinda embarrassed to admit it. My Catawba grapes, green onions, and a raspberry bed are paying the price... 😌

DH and I had one more brace to put up inside the hoop house to fix storm damage. DH loaded up a bunch of cut 2x4s on the 4-wheeler so I could drive them down to the garden. In the garden area, I had to cut a bit of a sharp corner. The wood shifted and slammed forward into my hand which was pinned to the gas lever. The 4-wheeler lurched forward and slammed full force into a bunch of galvanized steel raised beds and T-posts. It completely crushed one corner of the raspberry bed. Ripped out half my green onions. But the damage I'm most worried about is the Catawba grapes. It took a direct hit. At least one main cordon was snapped off completely. I don't think the main trunk was broken but I couldn't tell if it was pulled out of the ground or not... I had just fertilized it and added some spring compost, then re-mulched with straw around the base. I guess I'll find out how bad it is when/if it doesn't bud out.

Oh my goodness, that's scary! I'm glad you're ok!
