What did you do in the garden today?

Good afternoon gardeners. I got the auto waterer set up for the newest addition to the shade garden. I forget what it is atm, but it needs water regularly; it’s a low growing thing with blue-purple flowers. The sprouts are doing well, but not ready for transplant yet I think. One more week should do it. I planted some other seeds in the bigger garden and one popped up but then pooped out. The seeds are old so I don’t have much hope. I also divided the bamboo into two separate dishes and ditched a couple that looked gross. My grandson helped with those and used tap water for them which they don’t like. Ours is gross. Other than that, I’m cleaning house, primarily getting all the gardening stuff out of the living room. I took a detour this morning though and went through a bunch of old photos and picked out a few to frame. I have a few more things to add to my overflowing wagon and then I’m ready to drag everything outside. I’ll put it all away tomorrow, got my books today so I’m going to check those out this afternoon. Have a great day all!

Y’all are already making me jealous. I’m like hmmm, I bet I could get my sister to throw some onions in the ground for me. Of course that leaves me to water, feed, weed and harvest, all of which I also can’t do, lol. I’ll go cut some lettuce from the aerogarden for dinner & satisfy myself. 😂

I transplanted my lettuce seedlings this morning into a plug tray. Perhaps I should have waited a few more days, but oh well. Hoping I didn't break any stems, because majority of them were still really tiny.
Does anyone have any advice on how to stop seedlings from getting leggy? The lettuce was getting pretty tall, I had to plant them a little lower down.

I put a bamboo stick in four corners and wrapped a bird netting around it and secured the netting with wooden close pins and zip ties. Then I needed to make a support for my tomato plants, so I zip tied a bamboo stick across two corners and zip tied the middle. I will hang some string down for the plants. Its kind of flimsy, but .eventually if my plants gets tall enough, I have wire running across up high for a trellis netting roof. However, its highly likely my plants will get stunted from the Tomato Yellow Leaf Virus before I can bring my idea into reality.
