What did you do in the garden today?

@whoop whoop Who told you they were 3 meters long? Maybe that was a typo. How could anyone believe it? If a caterpillar were really that long, it would be making worldwide headlines. Even if it was only one meter! Now, 3 centimeters, that could be feasible.

I wonder if they meant that the horde of them migrating together could cover 3 m.

Yeah, when I saw that they were 3 meters long I just automatically assumed it was cm not m. Surely they aren't that large! I would have seen it on one of those '10 craziest animals' facebook articles. LOL!

@Finnie Oh well another of my blunders, but they are calling it a super worm, I agree must have got it wrong 3m is kinda big sorry anyway its a problem, my brain isn't functioning properly, never has actually, Times Live has a piece on them.

Last summer I put some apple seeds in the fridg and today I took them out to plant them and they all were an inch or two in growth.
I planted them. And took a few along with some tomatoes to donate to a few people.

I have an apple seedling in my orchard that was started last summer. I saved a bunch of seeds from apples harvested from trees in DD yard. They bought a home last fall that was the site of the first commercial apple orchard in the state of Maine. Lots of trees still standing. The wild life attracted to her yard is incredible. Planted those seeds in the garden, and even thought to mark where I put them!!! (Will wonders never cease!) Hoping that they will sprout and grow well so I can experiment with grafting.

I started mulching my flower beds since it finally quit raining. I am going to start some marigold seed tonight. I use them around my tomatoes. I am also going to plant some green peas in the morning. Gotta get moving spring is creeping up on us here in Alabama. Gonna plant some Georgia onions soon.

Lazy gardener I hope all your seeds sprout! That would be wonderful if you could get some of those old trees on your place. How wonderful for your daughter.
Your daughter could put out a game camera and upload the footage on youtube and people would eat it up.

Pc it stopped raining here for a couple days but the puddles are still everywhere.

I had some marigolds planted in with my tomatoes last year and still had cabbage worms eating everything. I guess I will be looking for a good source for fresh nematodes this year.
I tried onions and potatoes last year and they did not do anything.

last year was a bad year. With no (or very, very, little) rain for 6 months it is very hard to garden. I am hopung for better luck this year.

Snow and cold still here. No I didn't get the 4-5 feet a snow they got to the west of me.

Store got in the new seed displays. I keep walking by and thinking of what we are going to plant this spring.
Can hardly wait!
