What did you do in the garden today?

My brother stopped by today to pick up some eggs and he shared something he discovered on You Tube. He lightly tapped the round part of an egg with a spoon until it made a cracking sound, but the egg had no visible crack. Then we boiled the eggs and the egg shell came off with out sticking to the white part.
If you just wait a couple of weeks and boil, then plunge into ice water they come right off usually.

I was feeling a little off when I came in for lunch. Blood sugar 64. I ate some cookies to get it up. More work uses up the sugar. Time to cut back on insulin. Getting close to sunburn. Working on my summer tan. Resting a bit before going out. Got my mum starts today. Already potted them. Too small to plant in ground in my opinion.
Be careful :love I always feel worse when it’s hot and my sugar goes too low.

Its supposed to be 90 here on Fri. 😡 80 today. Even that’s too hot for me! But I’m sure were not done with frost. We are under a red flag warning all week too because its so dry & windy.

DH turned on the outside water yesterday so I attached all the hoses so I can reach all the chicken waters with it. Beats carrying 3/4 of a gallon at a time! So I filled the waterers & watered the strawberries, blueberries, EWO, garlic, lettuce, fig & herbs. I was able to clean up the leaves from the herb bed too. I need to water the peach tree but I’m quite sure I over did it already today & I will pay later.

What is that ground creeping vine thing with little purple flowers that has taken over my life? It has roundish dark green leaves. It puts out roots everywhere it touches ground so it’s impossible to pull up. I have no idea how to get rid of it & it drives me batty. Any ideas?
Is it creeping thyme?

I wish I could send you my Dahlias! I need to ask my neighbor what he wants me to do with them since I can’t plant them, a lot of them were a gift from him when his wife passed, she loved them as much as me.
Maybe you'd be willing to send me some, the ones that are left over that you can't use if they're healthy corms? I'll be happy to pay for shipping - sending you an IM.
I'm jealous everyone has their seeds planted and are growing. I can't do anything with our weather just cause it still gets so cold at night
Aw, no jealousy accepted! The seeds I have planted are not yet growing, not even sprouted, just a bunch of dirt containers waiting for something to happen, hopefully a few will around the time our weather is past frost.
Gardening always involves guesswork, we try starting seeds at different times, planning for the right day to plant them outside in various systems like greenhouses, cold frames, covered rows, depending on whatever weather ...usually, each season some crops do great and others fail depending on the weather.
Some of your plants will do great.
