What did you do in the garden today?

We had a black snake in the shed yesterday no doubt looking for some of the mice or rats in the shed. We let it be cuz we like the fact they keep down the rodent population.
As long as they stay out of our chicken coop.

Getting excited up here! Getting warmer and people are buying seeds and starting to work their gardens.
Going to go out and till up my garden today. Plus my little patch I am going to try to raise some strawberries in along with my rhubarb.

My mind went a little nuts on me yesterday and I bought 4 tea rose bushes.

Going to start my tomatoes today too.
Can hardly wait!!!!

Spring fever is officially here! Have fun!

We were super busy today. Got 2 of our raised beds tilled up and planted. radishes, kohlrabi, carrots, beets, turnips, spinach, leaf lettuce, parsnips, & potato's. Planted a few days before April...but it is supposed to be warm all week and trying to use up some older seeds.
Started some more flower seeds inside too. Also got the plastic cover on one of the greenhouse today. Love Spring!

Well, I'm VERY late planting late this year for a variety of reasons but I finished planting this weekend.

Peppers:
Tobasco
Habanero
Bells: red, green, yellow, chocolate
Tomatoes: Roma, Homestead, Better Boy
Zinnias
Sunflowers: Giants, multicolored and BOSS.

My chickens have found the garden this year (1st time). Putting up new 4' fence (not 2' that kept them out before).
