Yesterday I cut grass in Poplar Bluff. Today I cut part of the grass at my house. I also checked my bee hive. They are doing good.
I separated the chaff from the radish pods I saved last year and planted out a small area of radish seeds. I cut some asparagus. I pulled a few weeds and accidentally pulled a beet sprout before I remembered that I had planted beet seeds there. I watered the gardens and the peach trees.
I went morel hunting.
I found a lot of really big ones but only picked a few of them. I also found a few groups of completely dried morels.
My son claims they can be rehydrated.
Then I went to dinner with 2 friends.
It’s supposed to rain tomorrow
Edited because I forgot to mention that I saw my first hummingbird of the season today while I was cutting grass!

I burned up some of my seedlings! I was all excited about the heat mat I bought to speed up the germination process and I had a nice tray of seedlings started. I moved a number of the pots to a different tray, without a heat mat, and those are still doing fine. But I left some of the slower growing seedlings in the tray on the heat mat to encourage them to grow some more. Unfortunately, I woke up one morning to discover that the pots had dried out too much and half the plants in that tray died.
Live and learn, I guess. Also, I planted 3 seeds in some pots, around the edge, and all 3 seeds germinated and grew. I attempted to repot some of them tonight and hope I did not kill the seedlings in the process. Will have to see how that turns out. But I'm thinking I'd be better off with only putting one or two seeds in the middle per cup from now on. Started some new net pots with pepper seeds tonight and dropped two seeds in the middle - with the idea that I will pinch the weaker seedling if both germinate.
