Every year I see the big box stores carrying peach trees. People snapping them up. There is a reason this is NOT called the 'peach tree state'. Clever big box store.
Stopped and looked at the tomato seedlings at the big boxes while I was out on Friday. OMG. $5 ish for a 6 pack of yellow and brown 3 inch STUBS. They've been frozen or chilled at every store.
I have tasty treat tomato plants for $2 each that are almost 2.5 feet tall! LOL. (vine tomato)
I literally live in the peach state and I struggle with them.
That's true. Having said that, lots of stuff I used to buy when I was younger was able to be fixed instead of junked. If something broke, and you were a little handy, you could fix it yourself. Nowadays, it seems like so many products are designed to be unfixable if they break. For some items that can be fixed, it's often cheaper just to buy a new one. I like to fix what I can, but even I know that sometimes it makes much more sense to buy a new one - and that runs against my nature...
