My yard is flooded also. And all the rain did help my tomatoes go crazy along with my cucumber and my watermelon and cantaloupe plants are also blooming. View attachment 694716
Mercy, 200 chicks is a hand full. I have took close 300 out the incubator at one time and close that many the week before and probably close 200 the week before. I have had over 1000 in 25 brooders at one time. You have to Have it Together to have gardening time---LOLMy cukes and melons just came upmom bought 200 chicks in march and for the first month or so it was all I could do to keep up with them and minimize the losses.
So my seeds like that didn't get in for awhile.

That's when you make sure you got thermostat controlled brooders---then I only had to feed and check on them twice a day. Then every 3 days you have to clean the brooders, and HOPEFULLY sell a few hundred!! LOL Then work the big garden, pick some and sell some vegetables or feed some to the chickens, hogs, rabbits, etc. I am tired thinking about it----LOL.Yeah. Whew that's a lot! Indeed! And we got them right as the weather went funky and it'd be 80 during the day and 40 at night so I had to get up every hour to check on them. Wore me out.
