Still crying every day over Jasper. She was my buddy... I buried her yesterday next to my rooster. It's been just so damn hot, too hot to dig a hole

I live about 4 hours north of Minneapolis. It was really hot and humid earlier in the week, but the last couple of days it has cooled down with light rain every once in awhile. I took a number of days off to avoid the heat, but the last couple of days it's been OK to work outside.

And let's not forget the air pollution warnings we have been getting from all the Candian fires up north. That has been bothering me as well...

You're welcome. They hit the spot when I decided to go out on a limb and try something different. I'm very happy to see so many people saying that they are going to try squash fries.

https://greenstalkgarden.com - I got them on sale. They aren't cheap, neither is the dirt for them, but I feel like my days of regular gardening are over so I bought 2 to try out. If I like them I'll buy more next year.

I made cowboy candy today! I'm so happy to have some back in the stash. Only got 1 jar of just the juice, was hoping for more, oh well. They're all in the kitchen popping, just pulled them out of the canner.
