What did you do in the garden today?

@granny hatchet If it's rootbound in the pot, it probably doesn't have enough soil left to hold water and nutrients to stay alive, especially in sun or high heat. Photos of rootball would help.

@CapricornFarm :hugs
I bought it like this clearance d. I have /am watering it every day and havent been able to plant it yet. Would you recommend a soluble fertilizer then ? I have kept in in part sun on my front porch because of the heat. 90s

Knock it out of the pot and look at the roots. If it is all roots in there circling around the pot it needs a bigger pot, planting out, or you can try the ancient art of bonzai root pruning. No amount of water and fertilizer will help it being so pot bound unless you can provide a continuous drip of the appropriate levels/amounts of water and nutrients. It might die even if you plant it now. It looks pretty sad. Sorry.

You may be able to revive it by taking it out of the pot and putting it in a big bucket or container with miracle grow solution. Could give you a few more days if you really soak it. I did that with two potted flower plants that were wilted like melted cheese. Both perked right back up and i put them in the soil next day.

It was just so hot, I didn't make it past watering this morning. I did snap this pic of a sunflower in the garden.
