What did you do in the garden today?

What breed is your dog? The lady I got him from said Border Collie and McNabb but I don't see it.
Ours is part Border Collie also! I think that's where her white bib comes from and maybe her white feet. Yours has a white marking on her nose (although much smaller than many Border Collies). Our Molly is part Rat Terrier and part Beagle so she's really good at finding mice, shrews, voles, moles etc. (Her Beagle nose and her Rat Terrier "catch it" instinct can be good or bad...she follows the trails of the rodents and digs....surely she'll find it. It's very frustrating to her when we stop her. Unfortunately, DH usually encourages her. Our lawn looks really sad, but we haven't had any mice get into the house since she was old enough to keep them away!)

Okay. I'm hoping he will start doing a bit better than now because this defiant puppy phase is old and I am over it already.

I use fennel Seed in Italian dishes (spaghetti, lasagna, etc). I've never used the herb itself for anything
Good to know. I'm not up for anything Italian because my husband and daughter were constantly trying to make something Italian for dinner when she lived with us and 3 or 4 if not more during a week is definitely too much for me.

I always think I should like fennel - but I never do. I like celery & I like licorice.:gig

Got my garden layout done! :celebrate I ordered some more insect netting. I also ordered peat pellets to start my peppers in. I really think I'm going to skip the brandywines & try something else this year for the first time - ever I think!

My girls all look like they're laying - but they aren't. LOL. It won't be long, everyone has reddened up. Slackers.
