What did you do in the garden today?

We do a large part of ours with weed whacking I am the one that gets sore lots of arthritis through out the body closing of the spinal column in my neck but stubborn as the day is long

Husband has been out there weed whacking the lawn. I don't know why he doesn't just mow. It would be a lot easier on his bad back.

He finally broke down and got the mower out. I have been cleaning house. Tons of dog fur. My tomato plants are growing about 6 inches a day!

I cheat, my caregiver does the dog hair 3 times a week I do it or James and I do

Does anyone know of a way I can get all the bugs out of my rabbit manure without having to use pesticides on it? I want to store it in a bucket for next spring.
Since I got rid of my rabbits.

would it fit in a large plastic garbage bin? or hang a few bag style fly catchers

Why not just compost it? Just mix in some sawdust/leaf litter/etc and let it compost.

Compost it in a black plastic trash bag in the sun.

The heat will reach high enough temperatures to likely sterilize the whole lot of it.

Thanks everyone. It is full of bugs and ants. I would like to mix it with leaves that have been composted but I want to kill all the bugs in it first. I have some buckets with lids I can put it in. Thanks so much!

Unless the lids on your buckets are air tight, they may not do the trick for you. I agree with PP, that if you want to kill all insect life in it, your best bet is to seal it, AIR TIGHT in a black plastic trash bag, and let it set in the sun for a few weeks.
