Totally agree.... Just add goats to that list. When my buck gets randy, his scent will knock you down from across the yard.

Oh yeah…. The boy goat was housed behind the barn, with the girls. Generally the wind blows towards the barn, across the field. Even so, we would get halfway to the barn (upwind of goat behind the barn) and begin to smell him. The entire barn began to reek of male goat even though he was always outside the barn in a pen. Of course, he was penned with two girls for one purpose…

She has 5-6 weeks to go (maybe more). But today I felt one baby kick!!

I was reading the article when DH walked in and asked what I was reading. I tried to explain the whole train wreck to him. That lead to the next 10 minutes of him ranting about how people can't control bugs or wind and it's stupid that anyone would be able to sue you for a bug that "trespassed to pollinate your plants with stolen pollen..."

To be fair, just because a large following of small scale, home gardeners buy from Baker Creek, I don't think that puts them in the same category as "Big Ag' but then look at the article source and you can see why they are throwing shade.

Time to renovate a coop...add a pair of turkeys.

royal palms are beautiful but smaller than most turkeys (at least here). I have got bourbon reds and bronze just because of size.

Smaller is fine for me, as they'd be pets. Friends have some turkeys, their Bourbon is huge but friendly, also in the pet category. He is so big & wants hugs...funny trying to wrap your arms around him, he leans into ya, like hey, I wanna real hug here. He is a character. He does not smell bad either, which is nice when hugging him lol. I need to visit them, get some updated pics. I'm sure he is even more humongous now.
