They're Supposed to all be hens, but we all know how that goesWhen I cut out wheat my joints quit waking me up.

So do I, and a rule about not putting so much on the rack that I can't move my stuff to see what I'm looking at.I have finite closet space.![]()
Minimal closets, totally missing a coat closet...I mean Who designed this pathetic house? No attic, no basement, no pantry, no garage. I had to have a garage built & I currently have sheds for storage. It's true we use some stuff seasonally, but mostly we really do wear 20% of our clothing (our favs or weather/work appropriate) 80% of the time. I'm usually in work clothes, chicken clothes, gardening clothes or cozy house clothes. I'm going to donate a ton of clothes that I won't be wearing, some never ever worn. Stuff has gotta go! Make more room for bird & gardening related stuff!I have finite closet space.![]()
I wish I could enforce that rule in hubby's closet. He has stuff that A) doesn't fit; B) he never wears; and C) was his uncles(?), that he has "for sentimental reasons."a rule about not putting so much on the rack that I can't move my stuff to see what I'm looking at.
I empathize. I have 10 roosters and can't seem to part with any of them. We typically butcher the extras every fall... It breaks my heart every time. My oldest roo is only 4 yrs old though. I'll bawl like a baby whenever he passes. They're Supposed to all be hens, but we all know how that goes![]()

I have a soft spot in my heart for Roosters. No, I certainly do not need more, but I did just lose my oldest & most personality filled Roo, my ornery but lovable Rocky, just a few days ago.
RIP Rocky, we will never forget you

Giving up wheat is not easy. I got the Pepperage Farm Sourdough bread, but I cannot just give up bread, or pasta or pizza. I do not eat them daily, but yeah, I know I should eat less of them. I'm down to once a week, so less than before.
Same here. But there was a pantry… not well designed. Imagine a space for a closet/pantry. It is wide, and deep enough. Now place fridge in one half, then put a door frame on other side. Yes, that’s right, no wall to separate the pantry from the fridge…just a door frame. Now install four wire shelves for the pantry. No attic, no basement, no pantry
I can relate. My husband is a hoarder in my opinion and I am very much not. Makes for a frustrating time on occasion.I wish I could enforce that rule in hubby's closet. He has stuff that A) doesn't fit; B) he never wears; and C) was his uncles(?), that he has "for sentimental reasons."
I'd like to either gut & remodel this place or moveSame here. But there was a pantry… not well designed. Imagine a space for a closet/pantry. It is wide, and deep enough. Now place fridge in one half, then put a door frame on other side. Yes, that’s right, no wall to separate the pantry from the fridge…just a door frame. Now install four wire shelves for the pantry.. When we moved in, we gutted it, added a wall to separate (after removing a few unopened random pantry items that had fallen behind the old fridge) put in more solid shelves for much better pantry storage. Definitely better. It’s not quite deep enough for the fridge, but we might adjust that at a different time -such as when we decide to re-do the kitchen.
