Same here. But there was a pantry… not well designed. Imagine a space for a closet/pantry. It is wide, and deep enough. Now place fridge in one half, then put a door frame on other side. Yes, that’s right, no wall to separate the pantry from the fridge…just a door frame. Now install four wire shelves for the pantry.. When we moved in, we gutted it, added a wall to separate (after removing a few unopened random pantry items that had fallen behind the old fridge) put in more solid shelves for much better pantry storage. Definitely better. It’s not quite deep enough for the fridge, but we might adjust that at a different time -such as when we decide to re-do the kitchen.
Me too! our pantry has a standard door, but the shelves extend behind the wall and there's no light in there.I think it was a coat closet and someone turned it into a pantry. Stupidest design ever.I'd like to either gut & remodel this place or move![]()
