What did you do in the garden today?

I have tried the 16-inch okra, and the Heavy Hitter okra from Bakers Creek and I prefer the Heavy Hitter. I don't like the texture, light green color and taste of the 16-inch okra variety.

The okra in this video look like the Heavy Hitter okra.
I have never tried roasted Okra before, I will try cooking it this way as soon as my plants kick some out.

I get it. I can relate with getting off topic at the drop of a hat, especially if a beautiful bird suddenly swoops in, a double rainbow appears, or something equally camera worthy...I go into automatic "get the camera" mode & totally ignore what is being said.

I've always liked writing better than speaking. If it is someone I know & share common interests, I can finish sentences easily, or even jump to the next 5 questions, the "yet to be said" statement would inspire. I realize I must drive some folks nuts. I go nuts trying to stop myself. I do it with DH on occasion & gets a little ticked off...then he says "can ya just let me finish my story?" I know I need to just focus, don't look away thinking of other stuff, don't go off simultaneously searching for something, just look at him & let him speak. Why is it So Difficult! He is by no means a slow talker either. I just do this, always have, not sure why. At 3 yrs old, adults thought it was cute & pretty smart this little kid took the words out of their mouths. In school, some teachers didn't appreciate it at all. Now, as an adult, its just considered smart ass behavior. 😆

I am sorry! I am trying, but sometimes I just can't stop finishing someone else's sentence then jumping ahead. Is that ADD?

If so, my Dad had it, too. I recall us both just saying the punchlines to jokes then laughing, while others were scratching their heads. Oh he could tell a great joke from start to finish. But when he wanted his daughter to laugh so bad that stomach hurt & tears were in my eyes, he'd just say the end punchline without the full joke. Then the reactions of other people's quizzical expressions made me laugh harder...yup, that was priceless. Geez, I miss laughing like that Dad!
This is quite comforting to me. I honestly could weep. I'm holding it. Yeah, being ADHD in a verbal conversation is brutal. I talk a lot.... I have to nearly raise my hand to input if someone is speaking because if I don't, I'll forget what I was going to say. So I have to get it in while its there to say. I have to try so hard not to interrupt. It's not because I'm self centered or rude, I just get excited and have to input before that spark is gone. I get joy connecting with people. Especially since I get major anxiety talking to people, even if I love it. It's like a ticking time bomb for me, I have to literally use color points in my mind to keep myself in the current conversation. I use color cues and vocal rhythms to stay engaged and it can seem like I'm losing it and trying too hard. I do that "I finished your sentence and anticipated all of this!" thing a lot, and it's exciting because it means I'm staying focused, to me... I use humor a lot....

I'm sure I drive people crazy as well. My poor boss. Ugh, he has to deal with my crap all the time... same with my DH. Or, well, anyone that has a conversation with me.... Ugh. I look back at conversations and think, "well crap... I could have done that these other 15 ways and made them so much happier". Bleh. My heart.

I put sulfur on my chickens dust bath for mites lice. I also put it on my pants and dog when ticks are bad. Dog also gets the topical, but that's to kill not keep off.
My husband came in for a hug this evening. "You smell like... burned hair?".... "It's Sulphur see, smell".... "oh, yeah, that's what that is."

I still got smooches. Yay.

She has delivered 2 doelings so far. Her stomach is still quite large like she might have another but she seems uninterested in pushing anymore. Waiting for an afterbirth

Will definitely try this, thanks for sharing!

Other goat gave birth last night. 2 boys, one girl. The girl is weak, taking longer to perk up. But we have gotten her to nurse. Bc it’s so cold, and she’s weak, we are taking her inside to warm up, outside to nurse. We will call vet this morning to see what we have to do for her, or any of the kids.
