I have seed potato to plant when there is break in the rain.
Kid son of 41 took the potato to the garden.

I finished the chicks' upgrade today.

(I did put something under the power strip so it isn't dangling.)
Upon finally moving in, the chicks immediately tested out their wings, and then the roosting bars! They then picked a spot in the back corner to scratch around. I think they are much happier!

Wow! It’s awesome!!!

We are going back up to Indiana next week to see my in-laws and bury my parents. Definitely going morel hunting while we are there!

Collected some wild garlic and planted some bulbs in my garden, but I fear it will be too dry for them, we had frost the last few nights but starting tomorrow, it is going to heat up, next week temperatures are around 80!! I hate those swings in temperatures

A friend sent me some black currant clippings last year, I planted them together, most have taken, yesterday I replanted them, they look good

Yes, although not at the same time. My step-dad passed away on Christmas day, 2019. My mom couldn't part with his ashes.

I am so sorry for your loss. When DP's father passed some years back we took his ashes and her mother's ashes (that FIL had kept in his closet) and released them together in San Francisco harbor. It was where they had first met so many years ago.

Cold, windy, with poring rain all day today, I'm glad we got the cover on the boat and the big shopping trip done yesterday. I made chicken fajitas and the house smelled so freaking good.

That was me. You asked for them ages ago, and I had to dig them out.
I sprout them in paper towels and a baggie and only plant the viable ones.

a far side cartoon

LOVE that cartoon!

We used to have the day-by-day calendar where I used to work. Someone would buy it, stick it on the wall. Opening it before Jan 1 was NOT ALLOWED!!!

It was also considered "uncool" to read ahead.

There was a room that was remodeled in the building that everyone said was "on the far side of the building." We did a lot of work for a local artist who made neon displays. He made a clock with some neon lights that said "The Far Side" and we put it in that room.

Apple blossoms, got to love them

Peach tree hanging full, thank God the frost didn’t kill them

Cherry tree is also full with cherries, but usually the birds are faster, and it is too large for netting ( not to mention some birds get caught and you don’t always find them on time )
