What did you do in the garden today?

Mowed. Tried to start the weed wacker for the first time this year. Nope. Likely carburetor so I ordered a carb that comes with plug, air, fuel filter and fuel line. 14.75. Not spending 100 plus dollars at the repair shop for a 200 plus dollar weed wacker.

I went out & turned the GreenStalks. That's it. Then I went to Costco & spent $700. But I still have to go to the regular grocery store.

I finished weed whacking a path so I can set up the sprinkler for the grapevines tomorrow morning.

Just rhubarb. I cut WAAAY back on the sugar, so it definitely has a tang to it. Both hubby and I like it.

I took a screenshot of the recipe. Does it have to be processed or could I keep it in the refrigerator?

Last year, I made a small batch and left it in the fridge. It didn't last long enough to spoil.

These I did process so that I could store the jars down in the basement and bring them up one at a time.

I gave up on weed wackers. I couldn't start the gas ones, string was a pita with the electric. I got a cordless hedge trimming tool and I love it!

I woke up this morning with my molars itching... Weird symptom, I know... But it's ALWAYS a precursor to a bad allergy day. I started loading up on meds for the day before doing anything else.

Molar itch, a new one for me, too. But I've had roots of my hair on my scalp ache, sinus pain so bad ya can't even wear glasses, itchy tongue & very swollen lacrimal caruncles on bad allergy days.

I'll trade ya itchy molars for swollen caruncles

I gave the tomatoes, peppers and squash a good soaking with some of the fermented weed fertilizer I made a few weeks ago. I diluted it down, 2 cups per gallon of water.

Afterwards I soaked everything with the garden hose to push the fertilizer down to the plants' roots.

Picked a big mess of red lettuce leaves, ate a big salad and have enough lettuce in the fridge for a few more big salads.
