What did you do in the garden today?

It's what it looks like and it only ate leaves as it passed through a cornfield and state park. From my porch.

This evening felt a little cooler than it's been, thanks to a nice little breeze. All the rain missed us completely so I decided to water a bit with the hose... I really need to get my irrigation system put back together and set up in the next few weeks.

Decided my overgrown tomatoes were in desperate need of pruning. The San Marzanos are struggling badly with blossom end rot even though I've treated them repeatedly now with bone meal and fertilizer. The paisanos just a few inches away from them are completely fine.

As I was pruning everything to give them airflow and pull out all the rotted tomatoes, I decided I needed to go to the back side of the bed. I have Sunflowers and corn that are well over 8 ft tall just down from there. Their height is creating a little shaded area right behind the tomatoes. As I stepped into that area to prune from the back side, a huge cloud of mosquitoes swarmed me. It was so bad that I had to immediately leave. I'm not joking when I say I literally need a bee suit to go back in there... I've never seen mosquitoes that thick before. Not even in a swamp! Crazy.
Mosquitoes have been bad this year, even with no rain. The gnats have also been bad, and I don't recall them much at all in the past 18 years here.

Wanted to ask if any of fellow allergy sufferers take Qucertin? It was recommended by a nurse friend. I believe it helps bc I’m not dying if I forget my allergy meds anymore
I've been taking quercetin for a couple years, is that what you mean? There's some evidence that taking it in conjunction with zinc helps your body absorb the zinc more effectively. I don't know if it's helped my allergies, but do know I haven't gotten sick recently, even when everyone else at work is sneezing and coughing.

The first mammogram I had I was ready to tell the doctor to go take a long walk off of a short pier into shark infested water 🤣. I had one last year and it was like a easy peasy walk in the garden. No pain and so much faster than the first one.
I told my GP I would have a go after he put his boys in that cell masher. Have they changed the device?

My kale looks naked after cutting off the lower leaves today, but it should come back quickly.

I've changed my mind about never growing bok choi again. The remaining plants are looking good a few weeks after I sprayed them with BT and sprinkled Sluggo on the ground around them.

And the rest of the garden...
