What did you do in the garden today?

I picked a whole lotta red leaf lettuce, collard greens and around a pound of peas.

I chopped the leaf lettuce and turned it all into wilted lettuce (cooked with a little vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper).

Froze a stuffed gallon bag of the fresh collards and also gave some to my neighbor.

I tried something new with the peas. I microwave-blanched them before freezing. The pea pods went into a pyrex bowl and I covered it with a Corelle dinner plate. 12 minutes (or was it 14?) in the microwave on Defrost mode. Seemed to work well.

Corn took a hit on Tuesday. We had bad storms again. Same storm did this:

The other day power went out for 15 1/2 hours, this storm the power stayed on. Then today it was sprinkling and lost power for another 2 hours, this is ridiculous.

Yep, BUT they only come in WHOLE sizes, and they don't fit quite right.
I love Sketchers sandals BUT I have skinny feet and they don't make a narrow version of the sandals I like. I bought 2 pair of their medium width (smallest they have) thinking it would be OK since they use stretchy material but I still find my feet slipping out of them all the time.

Just finished tying up the new growth on the tomato tomato vines again. I've already used up all the strips cut from one entire t-shirt. Need to find another old shirt I can cut into mater tying strips.
I've used socks that were going to be thrown out due to holes in the toes.
