What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. I got a lot done yesterday. After yesterday’s morning planting, I got 3 boards hung and secured on the little’s coop. Still lots more to do but it gives them a chance to adjust to the changes. I planted an 8 foot row of collards then mowed half the backyard. I’m still working on the laundry. Today is busy with another treatment at the chiropractor, picking up chicken supplies at TSC, picking up dog food at the grocery store and bathing my wee beasties. They are so overdue. I will be doing a little watering in the garden before breakfast. Then there’s the laundry in my spare time.

So far behind in Everything. I'm tired, allergies kick my butt, work is busy, house, coops & loft need cleaning. Garden weeds & veggies are thriving...resembles a small jungle. I'm having a bit of a challenge juggling Everything, but I did get one of those "veggie shred into spaghetti" gadgets to try & catch up with zucchini all over the place...tons in the garden & my countertops. I need a rainy day off just to focus indoors & cook. Lol

Cleaned all the aronia berries tonight. Started cooking them in water before I realized you are NOT supposed to do that because it makes them more astringent. I pulled them off when they were a little bit hot. Put them in the blender to process and now chilling overnight before I strain the juice tomorrow. I only had room in the fridge for half the berries/puree so I'm freezing the rest of the berries until I have room & time to process them.

Still haven't decided if I want to make jelly, syrup, or just juice with them...
If you do a syrup, you can use it as a syrup on food and also as a water add in.

I hear that! I took the day off tomorrow because I'm feeling overwhelmed with the garden. Tomorrow I WILL get lettuce & spinach planted!
I don’t get a day off until Sunday I think. As I was getting ready for my appointment I heard one of the littles singing the egg song. Hoping they’re just practicing. Lol!
