What did you do in the garden today?

I picked a few more tomatoes, a handful of tarragon then thinned the lettuce and mustard greens. I put the sprinkler on the big garden for about 30 minutes. After breakfast I made salsa and canned 12 half pint jars of it. I finally got around to halving and freezing the strawberries. I need to water the collards, strawberries and herbs tomorrow. I’ve canned two days in a row and my right knee is letting me know to take a break. Tomorrow is laundry day. Still no measurable rain in the forecast. Regarding oregano. I planted several clumps from my herb garden around my grapevines. I have 2 small lavender plants next to them. The oregano is very happy there and when I picked my unexpected grapes recently there was absolutely no bug, bird, or deer damage. I thought I would need to at least put bird netting around the grapes but at least it wasn’t needed this year.

I noticed that the young bok choi plants are already starting to bolt. What the heck, I planted the seeds only 4 weeks ago. I saw a small slug snacking (say that 5 times really fast) on the stalk of a marigold plant.

😆 🤣 😂

I watered today, thank goodness for @WthrLadys idea to use the bracelet or I would have left the water running all night. Again. :lau I'm too old, out of sight, out of mind these days.

I despise oregano. 😲

My sage is finally done. Took 2 days in the dehydrator. But that pint should last me a while.

Ohh, I came here to say we have been completely invaded by bindweed this year! I've never seen it here before, but it's everywhere now. I've always had people jump on me when I post pics of my morning glory vines, this stuff is very different. Stinks!
