I used sage to flavor up a home made soup years ago. I took a jar to my dad's & he tasted it & said wow, that's some kick-ass soup! So... what is sage good with?
I usually add it according to taste as I'm cooking because some sage batches seem more potent than others, or as grandma would say, start with a pinch then go from there. Just don't be swigging too much wine as you cook...ya might end up with too much kick-ass.If you have dried, crumbled (or powdered?) sage, how much would you add to say, 4-5 quarts of soup?
