What did you do in the garden today?

I managed to get several wheel barrows full of dirt moved, 2 or 3 full of rocks too. I think the dirt I'm moving will be enough to spread out for growing grass in the dog yard, saving money :yesss: more digging awaits though.
Got too late to keep digging holes for the crepe myrtles, too many other chores waiting inside. Got those done, but I'm pooped!

I picked my first golden wax beans today, a few more grape tomatoes, and this one delicata squash. I hope it's not too early, but I tried to lift it to inspect for rotting underneath, and it snapped off the vine. Lol! Most of the baby ones are rotting, so I just started pulling the mushy ones with brown ends.

Might try this....Turn styrofoam egg cartons upside down under the squash to let water run off and keep them off the ground.

Our Okie August is way out of normal! We had storms split and go around us but have still gotten a half inch every day for the past six days with more coming tonight.

Squash has quit but zucchini plant look great. Tomatoes are putting on new toms but battling the spider mites again. Okra is in full stride. Rabbits got the beans and black eyes. Fall onions are doing great. Sweet potatoes failed.
Got to go jar up the batch of chili sauce I've worked on today after running 50 cows thru the lane for ivermectin and treating two for a sore foot. I'm about ready to drop :thguess I'm going to bed early after locking up the birds and feeding Susie.
