I am sorry !Checked on eggs this morning. She was off them again and they were ice cold.Brought them inside to candle them and don't see any movement.
I put them in the incubator to warm them up. I'll candle them again this evening. If there's still no movement, I'll be forced to concede...
Put a couple in the ice box, keep one around your neck and swap
In the heat of the summer I have one of those tied around my neck. Oh, wow, does it make a huge difference!
Well there is still hope. I candled both eggs and THINK they are both still alive. One has pipped into the air cell. It's probably the one I heard chirping yesterday morning. It didn't chirp when I candled it but I do think it moved a little. Not totally sure because it's a Welsummer egg so very hard to see through clearly. I'll try to candle again when it's a little darker. The 2nd egg is either white or very pale blue. I can still see veins and movement. It probably needs at least another 3-4 days... I still have my hen in the nesting box. Gave her a fake egg. I'll watch over the next day or two and see if she remains persistently refusing to sit in this box. Either it will break her broodiness or she will brood. One way or the other. I just hope I can stick chicks under her and she will accept them.
I can add peeps to the banty at hatch love the banty that way.
