What did you do in the garden today?

For the longest time I would empty out that water like 5 times a day. I would come back and it would be muddy AGAIN! I thought the dogs had dirt in their mouths or something.
One day I caught him in the act. I had to snap a pic.
I thought I was going crazy or something when I kept finding the water dirty but still full, time after time.
"hello doctor.. I think I am going nuts"!

I planted some Paw Paw seedlings this past spring! Looking forward to trying them fresh and in recipes. And if my family doesn't like them perhaps the chickens will

I just tossed some in with the rabbits.

Big BIG thunder boomers popping up here. Sun and then CRASH and a deluge for a few minutes, then sun again. Crazy weather that leaves me feeling unsettled. I think my old west Texas weather feelers are getting messed with. Nearly jumped out of my skin a minute ago when HE started the shop vac in the grow room. My heart is still pounding! I almost had to go change my bloomers, not even joking.

Got the new grow room cleared out, mostly cleaned up. Decided we aren't reprinting it, since it's so humid it'll never adher or dry right. Seriously. Like 98% humidity in there. My digital thermometer/hygrometer FOGGED UP! We are breathing hot soup. My clothes get changed 5-6 times a day and laundry starts to mildew if it doesn't go into the dryer pronto. Can't keep up.

I'm going to kick back with wine and air conditioning this evening and veg. I need a tiny break. Y'all be well and safe.

A break? What is that? Sure would love a nap. I really need to go work on the fence wires.

Fence is up and ready! The sheds are both here and level. Supper on the grill!

I have chosen the garden thread to reference instead of google...
I am preparing rice to serve with my crock pot chili at the moment of this post. I always add 1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water. Butter/sea salt & 1 bay leaf.
What plant/tree produces bay leafs?
I don't need google. I have byc.
