What did you do in the garden today?

I raked the front yard today and put about 1/3 of the leaves in the chicken run, and the rest on the garden. The chard is still perky, and I get a couple days' respite from the cover/uncover the beans chore.

There are a few green leaves, most are yellow now. We're supposed to get 1-2" of rain over the next two days. Yay!

Went picked up a Standard Poodle Last day of April litter.

We went trail riding this weekend!!! We left Friday afternoon and got home at 6 this evening.

We got 3 eggs while we were gone. 🥴 At this rate I may need to buy eggs. 🤣

Sun had already set when we got home, the time changed on us while we were gone. I'm not amused.

Nothing has died from frost yet! Ready to transplant cilantro!

Photos from riding today.

still watering here. it is olive picking time but is seems there will be very little oil this year due to drought. olive trees are getting brown leaves and fruit is tiny and dry. It scares me to think how much olive oil will go up this year.
Thanks for the heads up on the olive oil. I'll have to stock up.

My MIL trees are loaded this year. We are picking on the 16th. Most of the trees in our area look really good but the threat of a freeze is really high this year already. These are all in California though.

I hope you get a good oil content. You may find that the oil volume is still good per kilo, and that there's just less water in the fruit. Assuming the fruit isn't mummified or rotten. We've had very good oil in drought years. So there's still hope!!
