What did you do in the garden today?

You know, Baker Creek sells dandelion seeds. Maybe a cultivated variety would do better.

I've tried bulk dandelion seeds and seeds from Baker. Neither were a success... That's why I opted to collect FREE dandelion seeds from my in-laws property when we visit. They have acres of them... 😆 I prefer free seeds while I'm figuring out the best way to get them to grow down here.

I've read that they can grow well in poor soil and even act somewhat as a soil fixer. However I don't think they do well here because of the hot summers. The places where they seem to grow the best - either through native dandelions or seeds I've sowed - is in areas that get shade in the afternoon and hottest part of the day.

I have some old seeds. I'll try dandelions in some shady spot to see if it works.

My palovina ( blue bell) is budding, again 😄 let’s hope late frost doesn’t kill the bloom as it did last year 🙏🏻🙏🏻

yesterday I got tired working with citrus trees so I need to run to cut paulownia today. around the end of this week temperatures will rise so cuttings must be planted as soon as possible.
