What did you do in the garden today?

Today, I want to get these done and some other seed. I want another big pot from costco so I can have the Cosmo in two big pots in the yard, I may run in tomorrow. IMG_7213.jpeg
I'll mix the morning glories and cypress vine for the hummingbirds and put in pots with a trellis, and let it climb the chicken run to shade it.

FYI: The trees I ordered from Stark Brothers were supposed to come this week. Then they sent an email saying they were going to coming the week of April 27th.
Estimated Arrival
Week of April 27, 2025 (was Week of April 6, 2025)

Now I got an email today saying they are now planning on sending them the end of May or early June.
Estimated Arrival
Late May to Early June 2025

WTH? They are still sending me emails to buy more trees and I just want the ones I already bought!

Wow, you have a huge chicken enclosure. Nice!

plants arrived: 3 thornless blackberries, 3 aronia, 1 blueberry, 2 blackcurrants, 2 honeysuckles (yellow and red world), yellow trumpet vine and they sent me pink/blue hydrangea as a gift. I have to find a safe place to plant them. my stupid goats destroyed their fence and ran directly where I wanted to plant. luckily I didn't have time to do it.

That is not a good time to be planting fruit trees. I'd cancel that order and try a local nursery for something to plant now.

I have up planted the tomatoes into cells, and spread a full flat of lettuce seeds, OLD seeds for the hens to pick at, should they grow.
I'll get peas in the ground when I put the chickens away this evening.
I found ONE acorn from our tree when I was mulching, so I planted that in a cell too.
LIttle spring steps.
It will be time to put out the humming bird feeders in about a week to 10 days. They're about 5 hours south of us now.
