What did you do in the garden today?

The English Thyme cuttings that I placed in a white plastic bag died after I took it out of the bag, and the one, I stuck in a green onion companion pot outside grew without a cover, so I conclude not to cover them when cloning. I have another batch going on its second day without a cover and it looks good.
This is an update on my English thyme clones that I left on a windowsill without direct sunlight and uncovered. They look perky and each small twig that I stuck in the potting mix are still alive after several days. I will put them outside at end of month.

Remember the vinegar and egg video to make calcium. Well, I made some and poured it on my tomato, pepper, and eggplant seedling and the leaves turned yellow. I found out that too much calcium will trigger a lock out of other nutrients and the leaves will turn yellow. I washed off the potting mix and repotted them. I will only use the egg calcium on mature plants from now on. One egg per plant doesn't mean young plants.
Update on too much egg calcium: After I rinsed the potting mix off, it took 2 days for the yellow leaves to turn light green with Sta Green's all-purpose water-soluble fertilizer 24-8-16.

I wrapped an air layering pod on one of my Okinawan sweet potato stems. I want to grow the tubers in the air after it forms. I will be using Flower fuel liquid fertilizer to encourage tubers to form.

I found out that sweet potatoes and regular potatoes are two different animals. Sweet potatoes don't become poisonous when they are exposed to the sunlight like regular potatoes.

It's hot today... 🥵 Almost 90! Yuck...

I did clear out overgrown weeds out of the raspberries. Also planted some portalaca starts. Did a little watering... Got the new grapes in the ground. Now I just got to find homes for my gooseberries and pawpaw.

I hope tomorrow is cooler because I have a lot to do. Need to get my irrigation system working again and in-ground garden kicked off...

sunny and 77, but the air is desert dry, and the winds are howling to 40, again. Smoke, pollen, and dust are choking.

But I managed to repair all the loose anchors on the vertical garden wind fence- grommets and washers needed replacing. The hummingbird waterer and feeder is out and the stacked flower pots are filled with soil and stacked and center staked.

The peas and potatoes have been watered, and that was it. After three hours of being sandblasted and dehydrated, I quit.
