What did you do in the garden today?

I was making dense bread until I realized that I was measuring packed flour instead of sifted flour. Too much flour in relation to the water made a thick dough and impeded rising.
Exactly. I don't sift myself I spoon the flour into the measuring cup and level off.

Our lilacs have rebloomed the last couple of years. It sounds like a good thing, but in our case at least, I know it's not. Our lilacs have been losing all their leaves in July/August due to some bacterial or fungal blight issue (don't know exactly). They try to grow new leaves, and make a few clusters of flowers, but it looks like a dying plant's last gasp.

I have seen evidence of this blight all around us. I'm not sure what to do about it, so if anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

I love lilacs. I love their color and the heavenly scent.

This is why the UK goes by weight

Felt better today than I have in awhile. Getting over the pneumonia. Family members all got the same bug. Mine turned into pneumonia. Made a pumpkin pie. That pumpkin made a very good pie.
I'm sorry you were so sick! Glad you are feeling better ♡

My shin is getting better, slowly. But better. I will save the money and not get an X-ray. Yay.

Watered the carrot patch today. No more rain in the forecast. I'll cover the carrots with a board tomorrow.

Tomorrow I get the table saw back out. Going to finish the signs this weekend. Got a real featherboard and a nice grabber to protect my digits since I have to do a ton of dato cuts on 1x2" planks. Hooray....
