What did you do in the garden today?

Frost here. Anywhere from 29 to 33 depending on which weather app you chose. I have 31. I need to mow leaves with mower on mulch. Not all leaves are down yet. I may start the fire pit and hull walnuts in the sun near the fire. Trying to adjust to the cool weather.
What is this “sun”?

We got 1 minute of 'rain' after the most insane thunder roll I've heard in years, on Wednesday morning, at 4am. It was the loudest I've seriously heard since being back in Oklahoma. Bolt upright, out loud said "wow". It woke up every dog this side of the San Andreas.

Saw some pretty awesome lighting but no rain.

Today I turned tree branches into spider legs. Peas are starting to come up! Watered the carrot patch, waiting to see anything besides tomatillo sprouts and calendulas... And beans, and pumpkins... So many random seeds, but not what I want.

I also baked 120 cookies and bagged them individually for my son's school festival tomorrow. This is me taking it easy.

Clever.

I did this with glyphosate in the spring (applied Roundup to cut stalks). The pokeweed still returned/regrew later in the summer. It didn't get as tall and big though so you can tell that the Roundup definitely damaged the rhizomes but didn't eradicate it completely.
In spring perennials and trees sap is pushing up/out. In fall sap is pulling in, so chemicals works better

That's about the size of the spiders in my garage.

Where in Oklahoma generally speaking? Is it a permanent move or a visit? My grumbling worked. About 6 hours after my above post we finally got some weather. I know this because one of my big fluffy puppers is frightened of thunder and he woke me with desperate scratching at my door to let him in to be cuddled and comforted.

Also, cute spiders. How do you keep them standing? Do you shove the ends into the ground or something?

And how's the leg healing? I'll bet it's at a very colorful stage.
